Oswaldtwistle Mills Shopping Village is proud to annouced the opening of Clifton Mill Fishery situated at the rear of the mill. With an abundance of stock including Common Carp & Mirror Carp up to 20lb, Perch, Roach, Tench & Bream experienced and novice anglers will all enjoy the experience within beautiful surroundings.

Annual mebership fee £20.00 (Day rates apply)

FISHERY INFORMATION

Opening Hours – The gates at Clifton Mill open at 8am and are closed at 6.15pm Monday to Saturday and 9.30am – 5pm on Sunday.  Members only.

Day rates are £6.50 or £5.00 for under 16 year olds and over 65’s. The fishing bailiff or member of the security will collect your money and issue a day pass. 

Oswaldtwistle Mills have a CCTV camera which covers the fishing lodge 24 hours a day and our security team patrol the lodge throughout the day.  Please report any issues or concerns to the bailiff or Oswaldtwistle Mills reception 01254 871025 who will request security.

Any health & safety / first aid issues should also be reported to Oswaldtwistle Mills main reception 01254 871025.

Please be aware of and consider the wildlife at all times.

GENERAL RULES

➢    All parking for fishery must be on Clifton Mill car park.  The Management cannot accept any liability for loss or damage or its contents whilst parked in the car park.
➢    Use of the site and all facilities are at your own risk.
➢    Property is left at owners’ risk.
➢    Anyone caught stealing will be prosecuted.
➢    No pets allowed.
➢    All litter must be disposed of in the bins provided.
➢    Children over 6 years only and must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
➢    Open and disposable barbeques must not be used.
➢    Nuisance behaviour will not be tolerated & will result in a ban.
➢    No fishing rods to be walked though Oswaldtwistle Mills.


FISHING RULES

➢    All anglers / visitors on the site must report to the office.
➢    All anglers must be in possession of a valid ticket and Environment Agency rod licence before setting up to fish anywhere on the site.
➢    Tickets are not transferable.
➢    Anglers may not reserve pegs in any way.
➢    The company reserve the right to order all fishing to stop at any time, to cancel or refuse tickets without making a refund to the ticket holder.
➢    If an angler has to leave site for any reason we do not issue refunds.
➢    We reserve the right to search vehicles and possessions.
➢    Damaged, dangerous and cordoned off pegs must not be used.
➢    No fishing in the safe haven marked out with red rope.
➢    Wading is not permitted at any time.
➢    No fishing without landing nets which must be dipped before going to peg.
➢    1 rod per angler is permitted.
➢    Barbless hooks only, any other form of hook are not allowed.
➢    Live baiting is not permitted.
➢    Trout pellets, cat meat, nuts and un-soaked particle baits are not permitted.
➢    Please do not put unused bait into the waters or on the bank at the end of fishing.
➢    Keep nets are not allowed.
➢    Carp anglers must have a large landing net and a substantial unhooking mat.
➢    Double or treble hooks are not allowed.
➢    Carp anglers must use free running rigs (safe rigs).
➢    Klin-ik or a similar product should be used as required.
➢    Spinning is not permitted.
➢    All fish must be handled with care and returned straight to the water.  Any ill or damaged fish must be reported to the Bailiff immediately.
➢    Anglers must not leave their rod unattended, EVER!
